I'm wondering if any of you are aware of any venues for music this year, and if there are any musical directors or coordinators of such. The best thing about Amazing Larry's (a one best thing, ha!) was that it was the best stage and last year I saw nothing for musicians to set up and play.
I have a friend with a band in Cananda, they want to play this year.
Any ideas or directions to point me to would be wonderful!

Re: performance at Black rock this year
Sun, June 27, 2004 - 1:05 PMHair of the Dog camp had a great stage setup last year with all the instruments available to jam. I camped across the street from them last year. It was great being lulled to sleep by the sounds of live music. I hope they'll be back this year!! :) -

Yes, we'll be back again this year. Possibly with a little larger stage even.
We're at Mercury and 5:00

And The Seratonins are camped with The Bouncy Bouncy Club (one of our neighbors) this year, so they should make an appearance or two at HOTD also.

Mon, June 28, 2004 - 8:18 AMIt might be tedious but scrolling through the theme camps might allow something to jump out at you....it will certainly be inspiring.
But my initial reaction is...why don't they just play? The rest of us do. What's stopping them? A good number of theme camps have some kind of power and facilities for music -- they need to contact folks whom they might like to camp with. DIY or find some friends.
BM isn't Coachella. If they're looking for the "vast audience" experience, they're in the wrong place.
